Leech roommate living for free finally moves out after she's asked to contribute only $6 to dinner: ‘Good riddance!’

A friendship quickly soured after one friend took advantage of another's generosity. However, time told that this friend-breakup was a good idea. Why? Because she was more than just a leech. But let's start there…

 

Basically, these girls had a volatile friendship from the start. However, once they were full adults and living alone, the toxic one needed a help. And, of course, the friend came to the rescue. She let her stay in her home until she could get back up on her feet, she even got her hired at her retail job. However, things quickly started to sour when this toxic friend felt entitled for the other friend to pay for her entire life. She never paid rent and didn't even offer to help pay for food. The benevolent friend finally had it when the other friend demanded she pay for a $12 dinner and not even split it. The friend simply asked her to split it and she blew up. Her leeching days were over and she packed up and left. But that wasn't all! She moved in with another friend and ended up stealing her boyfriend and apartment…

  • I'm immediately accepting because I'm a forgiving ass person to a fault (trauma response). We meet up a week later, get matching tattoos, and instantly we're hanging out every day all day again like nothing ever happened.

  • Good friends go through ups and downs many times in life, that is how they strengthen their bond. After every argument you learn more about each other. However, in some extreme cases, you might learn that the other is extremely toxic and that's when you need to have a friend-breakup (which can be even more dramatic than a romantic one)!

  • I tell her, come live with me until you can get on your feet. I know what it's like to have nothing going for you in a small town with no way to get around.

She's been at my place for a week, job hunting online, when all of a sudden she has a "medical emergency" - usually I wouldn't downplay something like that but she really never had any paperwork or evidence of what she claimed to be dealing with and her symptoms would come and go whenever it was most convenient for her, it seemed.
